Special Working Tools for Hydraulic Breakers

NEWLAND supplies special working-tool requirements for hydraulic breakers, with the task and breaker interface defined before quotation. A non-standard tip or working shape needs a clear application brief and a matching shank and retention arrangement. Send the proposed task, tool drawing and breaker identity so the supply discussion can distinguish working geometry from attachment compatibility.

Describe the working task before the tool shape

Special working tools are selected around a declared task, not only a recognisable tip shape. Explain the material, access and intended action so the proposed tool requirement has a clear purpose. Include photographs or a drawing of the working area when they help explain a shape that standard tool descriptions do not capture.

NEWLAND supplies the agreed special-tool requirement through its manufacturing partners. A shaped working end does not by itself establish that the tool is suitable for every breaker or application. The breaker-side interface and the application review remain separate parts of the selection.

Define the shank and retention arrangement

The tool must be identified where it enters and is retained by the breaker, as well as at the working end. A drawing should show the relevant reference points and orientation. If you are replacing a current special tool, explain whether the requirement is identical or includes a change to its working geometry.

  • Breaker model and current tool reference where available.
  • Overall drawing showing shank, shoulders and retention features.
  • Working-end shape, orientation and application description.
  • Material or performance requirements tied to an actual product specification.
  • Required quantity and any separate tool or wear-part items.

Keep the approval record specific

Ask the quotation to refer to the proposed drawing and configuration. If the design changes during discussion, retain the approved revision rather than relying on an earlier photograph. The material and any declared product features should also belong to the actual agreed tool record.

Special working-tool supply is different from modifying an existing tool in the field. This page does not prescribe cutting, heating, welding or reshaping a tool. Any use or service requirement should follow the applicable breaker and tool information.

Questions about special working tools

Can I request a tool from my own drawing?

Yes. Provide the complete drawing, application and breaker interface. Identify any feature that is essential to the task so the proposed supply can be reviewed against a clear requirement.

Will a special tip fit a standard tool shank?

Do not assume that relationship. The whole tool geometry, retention arrangement and breaker configuration need to be identified as part of the proposed product.

What if I only have an old sample?

Send clear photographs, its application history and a labeled measurement record with the breaker identity. Explain wear or damage so the sample condition is not mistaken for the intended original geometry.
