Carrier weights use the catalog unit “Ton.” Confirm the unit basis when comparing them with your excavator specifications. Setting pressure and operating pressure are separate fields. Use the specification and mounting drawing for the quoted assembly to check the final installation.
Check the pressure change at the lower carrier overlap
NLB68 shares a 4–4.5 Ton carrier interval with NLB53 and a 6–7 Ton interval with NLB75 in the series data. The NLB68 hydraulic references are 40–70 L/min required flow and 110–140 bar operating pressure. NLB53 lists 25–50 L/min and 90–120 bar.
The comparison at the lower overlap therefore involves both flow and pressure. At the upper overlap, NLB75 lists 50–90 L/min and 120–150 bar. Match the intended carrier’s documented attachment circuit to the relevant model row before selecting the Side Type package.
Specify the Side Type mounting rather than only the housing
Identify the carrier’s direct pin connection or the existing coupler interface. Provide a drawing that locates the pin diameters, pin centers and mounting width. The side mounting arrangement needs to fit that interface and the proposed working geometry, with no dimensions inferred from a general type image.
The complete Side Type assembly mass should be stated with its bracket, tool and adapter scope. Check that actual package against the machine’s permitted attachment arrangement. The housing name and the NLB series model number do not establish the installed load.
Keep the 68 mm tool and pressure labels separate
The series tool reference is 68 mm. Specify the upper tool profile, retaining features, length and desired tip alongside the diameter. A different tip description should remain tied to the same matched tool reference when the breaker and spare tools are quoted together.
The series lists 170 bar setting pressure separately from 110–140 bar operating pressure. Preserve both labels in the technical record without using the setting number as an adjustment instruction. Confirm the hose ends, return path and included hydraulic connections for the Side Type installation.
